Hi, folks! I am so excited since this is my first post on this blogger and I am going to share about my most exciting memories in 2019. Last year I went to South Sumatra with my fellow friends for Global Outreach Programme (GOP) and this programme was organized by JKM Kolej Perdana, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. The objective of the trip to strenghten relationship between the Southeast Asia country and to encourage transfer knowledge and culture between the two countries. Our flight took two hours from KLIA2 to Sultan Mahmud Badarudddin II Airport. First destination after landed at the airport is absolutely seeking for signature food of Palembang which it is called Pempek. The taste of Pempek melts in my mouth as soon as the food getting in.

Pagaralam is located by Bukit Barisan Mountains at the feet of Mount Dempo, a volcano and the highest mountain in South Sumatra. Pagaralam is one of Palembang's top suppliers of vegetables. Its position on the highland makes the city slightly cooler than many other South Sumatra cities and its decorated with amazing scenery of nature, makes the city one of South Sumatra's key tourist destinations and is frequently visited by the local tourists especially from Palembang. So here is my first destination the next day after arrived at Pagaralam.

Photo 5: Rumah Baghi Besemah

Baghi House is a traditional house that has been used since hundreds years ago by the ancestor of Besemah people, Pagaralam. The design of this house is quite similar with traditional Minang House but the roof of Baghi House not too pointy compared to Minang House. The construction of buildings linking parts of the frame. Interesting about this house is all the part linked without using nails and there is no room in there. The location of Baghi House was not too far from the location at fourth photo.

Pagaralam is the city has been known for its natural beauty since long ago. Besides the famous tourism object here is Mount Dempo with its tea plantation, there are also other tourist object with stunning view. It is GREEN PARADISE.. Here, the visitors are allow to do various activities such as fishing and feeding the fish. I am really enjoy the view of artificial river which flows the clear water from natural spring water and the expanse of lettuce garden adds extra point to the beauty of the Green Paradise tourism.

I am really inspired with the story shared by the founder of coffee Putra Abadi brand, Mrs Weni Bastian. She was together with her husband quitted job to start open this coffee business. Despite the success achieved now, there were so many obstacles have to be faced. Besides producing coffee from Pagaralam, they also produce variety of chips from banana, sweet potato and many more. Putra Abadi have achieved so many achievement and even won many competition. They also received plenty of visitors from local and international. Photo 8: Lematang Indah Waterfall

This is the most exciting activities while I was in Pagaralam. This waterfall is only 40m height but strong enough caught my attention with the beautiful green scenery around. The cool water flows peacefully with the wind whispering gently makes me feel how great The Almighty create this for us to see. This location is easy to access because it located near the main road make this waterfall as tourist attraction of Pagaralam.
